My goal this year is 20 different species.
29 April= 6 lsd, best 1lb 12oz. heavy sea's and raining. Came 3rd in local comp
10th may= 6 mackies
17th May=BLANK. Very very heavy sea, Fished the river mouth at axmouth
11th June=2 LSD, Best 1lb9oz, Branscombe comp, flat sea(still 18 more species this year????)
26th June= BLANK, Branscombe Meet.
4th July=Silvereel,Poorcod,Pout,Bass,Bream and Flounder. All night at Portland, Ferrybridge and Westbay
8th August=Cod4lb5oz,dogfish,pout,Bream1lb9oz Beer regatta boat comp. Great day out, sea like a millpond. Only 11 more to get now.
22nd August= Bream,Pout,Dogfish,Pollock. Langton across the fleet. good day/night and got a pollock, Only 10 now.
4th September=Mackeral and Garfish. Seaton carnival comp. Came 3rd out of 45 and got a garfish. only 9 left.
13th September=Mackeral,LSD,Pout,Bream,Ballen Wrasse and Cuckoo Wrasse. Beer boat comp, great day and only 7 left to get now
18th September=Bass, Mackeral, Dogfish. club mach over seaton
23rd September=Dogfish, Branscombe. beer comp
25th September= dogfish and pout. cogden, dont think i'll get to 20 now
26th September=Scad,LSD,Mackeral and maybe a conger, boat off beer head. only 6 left now.
4th October=5Bream to 3lb,Scad,Mackeral,Pout,Poorcod,Red Gurnard 1lb3oz and 2 Turbot 3lb and 4lb. Boat trip with all the boys and Lucy and that cod. Great day and 2 new species.
8th October=Sole2lb 11oz, about 20 lsd,pollock and garfish. Branscombe, AWESOME
17th October=Mackeral,whiting,pout. Jurassic comp.
25th October=dogfish, Branscombe Westward trophy
28th October=about 15 dogfish,pout and whiting, club comp at branscombe
Year total 18

Bass,Bream,LSD,mackeral,Flounder,Pout,Poorcod,Silvereel,Cod,Pollock,Garfish,Ballen Wrasse,Cuckoo Wrasse,Scad,Red Gunard,Turbot,Sole,Whiting

Go for it. I reckon a session on weymouth pier will give you 5 or 6 in one go!!

So what we looking at then? Ray, huss, whiting and sole. They seem the obvious targets. Could still get a trigger if you try the cove, but its getting stirred up now.
