shockleader

any recommendations on shockleader  for on the field? i know its got to be hi-vis or is that just main line that need to be hi-vis?

powerflex orange works for me on the beach Sam so I guess it'll do on the field too mate.....?

Yep i use powerflex orange on the beach and on the field, never been told it was a problem:D

From UKSF Rules:


6a. RUNNING LINE - To be minimum of 0.35mm for 175gr & 200gr, 0.31mm for 150gr and 0.28mm for 125gr and 0.25mm for 50gr, 75gr & 100gr.


6b. CASTING LEADER - To be high visibility/fluorescent and minimum 0.75mm for 150gr, 175gr and 200gr and minimum 0.65mm for 50gr, 75gr, 100gr & 125gr (as supplied by UKSF), with at least 8 complete turns on the reel when ready to cast.

if you aren't casting uksf then you don't have to stick so rigidly to those rules.

if you are using powerflex just remember that Ultima are gone, so when line stocks are gone there gone. save it for fishing and use something else for casting.

keep in in a cool dark place and it'll last ages.

however if it its a lumpy swell the line gets changed every trip, so it'll soon go.

joking aside guys.i do find the ultimate distance casts well and seams to lay better on the reel.hope they are back in the summer.defo to buy some more.
