Had my first lesson with Colin on Sunday, AMAZING.
I real nice guy and excellent instructor.
I have never seen such little line left on my spool.
Now looking forward to put it into practise at the weekend comp.

First Lesson with Colin Empty Re: First Lesson with Colin

Post by Pier bandstand Fri Nov 20, 2015 1:32 pm

my casting is not great, I struggle with winter conditions and have on occasion been at the beach with people to the left and right of me catching whilst I don't (same rigs and bait) they getting maybe extra 50-75 yards on me...
is it worth getting a lesson bearing in mind I cannot get on with multipliers and am wanting to use my existing cheap gear (penn rampage 15,9 and cheap large fixed spool reel)
ive read that that rod is designed for the standard overhead cast so im unsure if any pointers would help?
thoughts on this appreciated please
