having only fished it from the jetty . What is the area really like?

all depends ive found it collects alot weed in the corner when ive fished there , worzel had a good bass there 2 years ago right hand side of the pier . but what worzel did was walk along pier cast out then walk back and jump down put rod on stand just got that bit more distance on his cast

I had a nice codling there about 3 years ago when i got blown off chesil. Aout 300 yards right of the pier on lug and squid..
