Whats your best recipe ?... Never had them before but got a chance to get some direct from a day boat and the price of 8.40 per dozen seems OK ?

trimix is mega expensive though they'd be better off on nitrox or is that what you meant lol!

if you saw the absolute carnage on the sea bed caused by the dredgers you wouldn't sat that so much sea life gets smashed to bits it's like a ploughed field

Only problem with nitrox is the decomp time. Trimix Gives the best of both long bottom time and less decomp. Plus I know a few that push the boat a little with three maybe four dives in the summer. Evens its self out in the end

Most of my trimix fills were over £40 a shot, you can always deco on a hot mix of 80% plus, the same as you do with trimix, it's got to be more cost effective to twin up and use nitrox at £7.50 a fill. The main advantage of trimix is the reduced O2 content so you don't suffer oxygen toxicity hits at depth of 60M plus.

Would you really be diving for scallops in 60 metres of water? When I used to dive many years ago we found most between 10 and 15 metres. Plenty of "bottom" time at that depth with compressed air.

Anyhow, one of the best scallop dishes I had was a scallop and king prawn tai curry. If I could get them for that price I'd have them every week.
