Frozen Black Lug

Frozen Black Lug
I've bought frozen Black Lug from a variety of places and have never been impressed by their quality. The ones frozen in sand and wrapped in clingfilm have always been poor to mediocre, so yesterday I was surprised at the ones I bought from Weymouth Angling Centre.
I've never bought lug from there before so when I started unwrapping them I was happy to see plump, perfectly frozen worm - individually frozen between two sheets of newspaper so really easy to take out. At £4.50 for 10 they weren't particularly cheap (average for local tackle shops) but their quality was far superior to other shops I've used.
Guess where I'll be going for Black Lug in the future

Re: Frozen Black Lug
They will do it cheaper than that for people they know. The ones I got from online baits UK where pretty good. If you want to try them you can add to our group order. Take a look here bait order three. Once we have enough orders in to get the free deliver I place an order.

Re: Frozen Black Lug
The only ones I have tried are supplied by Dragon Baits and I wasn't too impressed with them. Just recently I have had competitions down in Walmer/Hythe so bought fresh black lug for £4.00 per twenty (half what we pay up here for frozen!!) and stocked up for the winter.

Re: Frozen Black Lug
Have to agree with Weaver that the online baits black lug was good and i caught my first ray on a mixture of this and squid so i think it works.(Or just damn lucky)
