West Bexington Car Park

Sorry if this has been raised before but cannot find the topic.

I am planning a longish session at Bexy and am sure I saw a thread saying that you can now only park for a maximum of 8 hours within a 24 hour period. Is this definitely correct or can you park for longer?

Coming from Southampton so not able to pop down to look for myself.

This is true however, u can get a space on the left side of the road just before the car park. No yellow lines and no clearway signs: yet!

West Bexington car park is anti anglers!! Upto 6pm it costs £5 to park then you have to return to the car and pay 40p to park after 6pm which is not good if you have walked down the beach a long way to fish. Like Kep says you need to try and park on the left as you enter the car park, where there is only room for about four cars - not on the right as this is reserved. I have had a parking ticket here so I am not biased at all - go to Abbotsbury!!

I got a ticket there at 2030 in the middle of December when it was blowing a gale and lashing down.

Just assumed it'd be free after 1800. I couldn't even fish as couldn't hold the bottom so was only there about 30 minutes.
