Re: Weymouth casting
no.
anyone can just turn up, pay their money and cast. or you can turn up and watch for free.
£7 for the day (most of that is for insurance).
a few people cast in the morning and disappear down the beach for the afternoon or evening. makes it a full day out.

Re: Weymouth casting
What are the restrictions on line?
I just want to see how far I am casting with my standard beach gear. 60lb shock & 18lb mono, I take it no problems with that?
Does anyone sell or have a supply of extra mono on the day, just incase my birds nest is too bad!

Re: Weymouth casting
Line are of hi vis! makes finding crackoffs easier and you can see line when walking down for the retrieve...
50gr,75gr,100gr, is 0.25mm
125gr = 0.28mm
150gr = 0.31mm
175gr = 0.35mm
leaders again hi vis, 0.65 for leads 125gr and smaller and 0.75mm on 150gr and above.
im sure there should be leads and line available if you struggle

Re: Weymouth casting
Those are only minimum diameters, so if using.35mm you can chuck all leads on it. although this will affect distance on the lighter leads....
