Weymouth Casting 19th September

Post by fishdorset on Sun Sep 19, 2010 4:45 pm

Just got in from casting today, got to say I enjoyed it, can see how it could become addictive!
Always wanting to beat your last cast!

For me today I cast 172.3 metres / 188.4 yards OTG. Very happy with that, my first cast today was 156m then it steadily went up to stay consistantly over 160m.

Thanks all for your help.
Very Happy Very Happy

Got some great tips and help with casting bits & pieces.
Very friendly atmosphere and all I can say is go and give it a go if you've never been before.

Great to meet up with members of the forum as well.

i think there were 9 forum members casting and another one who turned up to watch, but didnt cast, although he did commit to next time, didn't you Litchy?
i think most learnt something and there is no shortage of advice, as Richard will admit when he was being coached by a current member of the England team going to the world championships. that doesnt happen in many sports.
i think just about all members got PB's and their distances are improving greatly, which i'm sure will be translated to better catches off the beaches.
i finished the day on 244m or 267yds.
