This section has been added to our expanding forum for those on here that also fish the rivers and lakes. Be it carp, trout, pike or just a bag of bits this is the place to post your reports, venues and tips.

Don't foget if you are trying Freshwater or Game fishing for the first time you will need a rod licence.

i do know of a good spot for decent trout, if ya intrested.
if you go into hooke the bridge behind the church, walk up stream bout few hundred yards jump over a small fence and there a few ponds full of the bloody things....... it looks like a abandoned farm or summit, bit of a sh** hole..... i used to do it a a long time ago in my younger years.......

might add the little note of you need a licence past the first bridge of any river/estury, correct me if im wrong but this includes fishing up past the first bridge on the bc 'technically' although i doubt its ever checked...
thats what ive always thought anyway.

I always thought it was where it stops being tidal ie. a sluice/lock.

Still got all of my coarse fishing stuff, loads of it too but whether it'll ever get used again I doubt it. No point selling it really for what I'd get for it and knowing how much it cost me it'd break my heart.

Actually thinking about it you need a licence on some tidal rivers too.
