Last Min ASH PONDS

Post by Guest on Mon Mar 21, 2011 7:33 pm

As plans for fishing cogden fell through, me and the old man made a last min decision to do 4 or 5 hours at ash ponds, got there, threw out a few dog biscuits to be suprised at carp feeding on top!!!
so a short session produced 8 fish each, me: 20,19,17,14,12,12,11,5lb fish and the old man: 17,15,14,12,12,10,8,5lb fish

Great fun so going back tomorrow (gives the beach a rest aswel!!!)

I've fished there a few times years ago, it's down a longish track if I remember rightly. Whenever I ever went, there was nobody ever there to pay which was always a bonus.

Catching carp from ponds soon becomes boring though, I did 99% of my carp fishing on the river.

Although sounds like you had one hell of a sesh on Monday.
