Boscombe Pier Sea Anglers

Post by p.smith1958 on Mon Mar 28, 2011 5:37 am

Hi guys

As you have most probably seen by my new signature, i was asked to stand as Secretary for the above Club which i am a member of.

As the new Secretary, and the fact we so very nearly lost the right to fish the pier because of some rules the out going committee put in place i have been very busy of late with council meetings, meetings with Poole & District, letters in/out, meetings with our members rewriting our Club Constitution and rules, getting our new web site up and running for the transparency of, and info about the Club and so on.

Last night we held an EGM for all our club members whereby i had the pleasure of informing our members that we have the rights to not only fish Boscombe pier, but also Bournemouth Pier.

The Clubs web site is at http://boscombepierseaanglers.co.uk/ were there are contact details,
over the next couple of days i will be sitting down with our Web Master to fully update the site to include Bournemouth Pier.

Regards

And very tight Lines

That's really good news Very Happy I confess to never having fished from a pier since being a little lad so will eagerly await some great catch reports from you to tell me what I've been missing all these years Smile

It's generally a thankless task being a Club Secretary but I bet there's qute a few people thanking you today cheers

Your right it is a thankless job most of the time Martyn , no one sees the hard work that goes on behind the sceens , just glad all that hard work has fallen into place and the out come is better than any of us thought possible. cheers

I look forward to getting back to my fishing now and putting up a few catch reports
