right for all that know me will know that im not the biggest fish eater as not a great fan of it. but i do enjoy cooking it...
just eaten this little number.
beer battered plaice goujons with hand cut jacketed chips....
fillet and skin the plaice.
a nice english real ale.
self raising flour.
a good sprinkle of turmeric
loads of salt and pepper.
mix all together to for a wall paper past thickness batter, (maybe slightly thicker)
part boil rough chip shape chips
sprinkle of oregano
good dash of olive oil
25mins at 220c
when the chips are nearly ready
heat the oil till it crackles
dunk your goujoms into the batter then into the oil
makeing sure of a good coating
once the guojon floats its ready.
serve up with a wedge of lemon, salad and some holandaise sauce.
