Moonfleet Angling

Post by Weaver on Mon Jun 01, 2009 1:10 pm

You may have noticed the link to Ians online shop has been removed from the navigation bar. Ian is currently rebuilding the site but is still open for business. If you want to purchase any goods please contact him either direct via pm on this forum or on WSF. As soon as the new site is up and running I will replace the link.

The whole thing has a lot of MOD involvment one way or the other.
just imagine, you maybe bought the computer for the MOD that eventually was used to build files.

That'll be the wife she buys the computers and stuff for MOD - I'm involved with armoured vehicles these days! I look forward to viewing the new site and hope it doesn't crash as often as my PC at work! LOL!

Re: Moonfleet Angling

Hi all,

I have been reading all the reports coming from this and the WSF forum regarding Moonfleet Angling. I have made a few enquiries and without going into too much detail I cannot believe that what I have heard is true.

As a good friend of both parties I have found it hard to believe that one person could do such a thing to a close friend and his business. Without naming names I hope the person reads this and has a rethink about what he has done and apologises. What has been done has been done and fortunately it can be repaired and the business will be up and running in as short a time as possible.

I personally feel let down as I didn't think that a person I considered a friend could do such a despicable thing to another human being. This act of insanity is something that happens between enemies and not friends. It only goes to prove that the saying, "Your best friend is your worst enemy" is true. You never know when your best friend will stab you in your back.

I trust that Moonfleet will be up and running again in the very near future and I hope because of this "Minor Bleep" business will be better than it was. I shall certainly help to promote Moonfleet wherever I go.

Best of luck Moonfleet.

Drew

It's done now . We found out what happened to the email customers facility, I was left with no ability to email anyone from the actual admin on the site.
A few people were PM'd yesterday and given the reason why this was done and it created a good bit of anger.
I had to look into copyright for a few things, namely pictures and images that have had the copyright mysteriously changed a few times of late. I was sent back up discs by Mike Thrussell jr that showed a few things had recently been changed and they can now go back on the new site.
Be a couple of days though which is doing my head in.
New pages are going to be added and I spoke to charter skips in all areas as far as Yorkshire and they are going to be handing my gear out to their own customers. They will then offer feedback so basically I will be able to nail my boat gear down as "tried and tested by the boat owners"
A seprate website is also going to be up and running at moonfleet-angling.co.uk which will be a window for certain agency's and groups and based purely on the Coaching.
I get to look at how the internationals are coached in august and while it will not alter what I do with novices it will certainly open my eyes and give me a link to the finest anglers in the UK (DBY knows some of em) Very Happy
Colin Olver, he is proving to be a good bloke to know (apart from moaning about delivery times) a number of times i have refered him to guys looking for casting tuition, and a number of times he has bounced them back to me with regards to rig sales and it works a treat. He will be having his own page on the new coaching site.chts and
I will also be holding regular beach sessions based purely on the rigs so people can try them out and learn a few things. this will be done via invitation only and not advertised until they are done, I do not want anyone trying to ruin what will be a good decent day out for people to learn, in fact I will try to work them around when Colin can be there for casting.
I am also now supplying the RAF angling guys, first lot go's out today to be used by combined forces next tuesday in holihead.
next week is tricky, but i have people coming to look after Lisa and the kids while i am away and thats the one thing I resent having to do.
apart from that nothing else to report, apart from Jake the Border collie once again getting a hit from an electric fence last night (which was actually quite funny)

ah Dave, with regard to the crafty cunning marmalade thief, he is still racing yachts and coming down in a few weeks. A few calls from this bloke and I had some good info on a few issues that really did enlighten me.
