first ever pendulum casting

Post by jules.barlow on Sun Feb 12, 2012 7:32 pm

had a casting lesson yesterday with colin and started my first bit of swinging. felt bloody wierd to start off with but managed to get it straight and didn't take out anyone left or right. What a Face

hopefully the 2 links below will work for anyone thats interested plus its a free plug for colin whom has the patience of a saint sunny

feel free to criticise as long as its positive Wink

It`s ok Jules, for your first attempts, but, at the end of the cast, don`t drop your rod tip to the beach. Hold your tip up at about 45 degrees until the lead splashes down. This will keep the line flowing along the rod with least resistance. It also looks good too!..Very Happy

Not bad for a first attempt.Try looking up and stopping the rod at

the end of the cast.

Hi jules

Did you get the video from side ways on? That was a better angle.

Keep up the practise and then next time we meet we can work on body rotation, rod angle, punch pull so not much left to work on!!!!!!!
