Moved away from the sea :( Empty Moved away from the sea :(

Having just moved away from teignmouth where I had fishing pretty much a stones throw away I now find myself at the opposite end of the spectrum and living in the country,,, 5 miles outside of Crediton in a small village called Yeoford. As its next to impossible for me to get to the beach does anyone know any local river/pond marks that can be fished ? The river Yeo runs quiet literally at the back of the garden but is only about 3 inches deeps, I've taken a walk along the bank and it doesnt get much deeper anywhere close, There is another slightly larger river that runs through the village but this is only maybe a foot deep on the bends and in some of the pools. I have seen one solitary small trout in the many times I have walked the dog along this river. Does anyone know anywhere fairly close to yeoford that holds a few fish.. Either in the rivers or any local ponds ? The closest thing I've come to seeing a fish in the river at the end of the garden is a couple of 6 inch long fresh water lamprey milling about in amongst the shallows and rocks.

Cheers

This looks close to you but it's now spring and silly season so all the lakes will be rammed worse than Chesil.... at least there you can walk away from the fools....
