Is the casting meet on this Sunday?

Is the casting on this weekend or will the weather put if off again? I thought about going up (not to cast - I have my pride to consider) to combine a visit to Arron with a wander around Maiden Castle with the dogs

There is casting in Dorchester along Maiden Castle Road again, in the field before the one with a hump (Tumuli) in.

To get to the casting field leave the Dorchester Bypass at the A354 roundabout by the football ground and go towards the town centre, straight on at the mini roundabout (Tesco) and then first left into Maiden Castle Road. Drive along this road for about a mile out into the country side and just before the Maiden Castle visitors carpark there is a track to the right. casting is 50m down this track and in the field on the right. Alternatively just follow the Ancient Monument signs for Maiden Castle.

The weather forecast is for a showery day with a breezy Westerly wind with some Sunshine so hopefully everyone should have a really good day possibly with some PB's.

depending on the weather i'm off on a 4 day channel island trip on the monday, so if that goes ahead then no.

if the trip is cancelled due to bad weather then yes.

i wanted to go today but have to drive the missis around this morning might try and get up later just have to find some flouro line now

been come home got wet hit 207 with 125g and then 213 with 150g had a few crack offs got wetter so came home

Yea yea ok very good

New PB for me at 183m on the 125g, so im happy with that, will have another go next year

busy with other things and sorting out ready for boat trip this week

probs a wish move it was horrid.... think they were up in the 40's when i left

Just seen 183m is 200 yards, cool still crap but 200 sounds good.
