chew valley

Post by borntofishforcedtowork on Wed Jul 25, 2012 10:08 pm

not been out sea fishing for a while. the trout fishig has just been too good to miss. Been hitting chew valley quite abit and have managed some crackers. on sunday i managed this 4lb 2oz rainbow from the bank using a damsel on a slime line roly poly method....

and then yesterday i managed my 2nd biggest trout from chew. a fish of 5lb 10oz. prime condition, took a olive buzzer fished in moreton...

cant believe the amount of 4lb plus fish ive had this year out of the lakes. if youve never tried fly fishing guys, youve just got to give it a go. at times, more exciting than this sea stuff

ova and out,

Lovely big trout there. Yeh, top picture might need resizing to get it to fit properly.

blue bowl? stoke inn? the crown? fish are in excellent condition atm, they have really grown on well. you wouldnt believe how fat the 5lber was. feeding heavily on snail and corixa atm. most are pre season fish or fish from the back end of last year. cant wait to the end of the year. loadsa of fry about this year. these fish will hammer them come the end of the season. there will be a good head of near double fish in there next season i reckon. chew back at its best
