Yeh, well that is Danny! Like to see him do that with a whole squid into 25mph head wind mind! Still, what a sound that reel makes.

Hi Colin, I wish I had made it to the casting sesh last month as I really want to sort my casting out, I got a vid of me casting, if you could look at that and give me some pointers would be good, I have been told you can smash a lead.

Dam good reels try putting ceramic bearings and a drop of tour oil then it goes like s**t off a shovel

Re: To all 7HT mag users
Are ceramic bearings any use for beach fishing or are they really for field casting?

Re: To all 7HT mag users
yea the first cast was good mate taken the level wind off now as i think it was that causing the problems but not using the multi at the moment trying to keep my casting top notch on the fixed spool then move over to multi after another lession with colin.

Re: To all 7HT mag users
Yeh, never liked level winds. I've even taken it off my boat reel. Can't see the need for them.

Re: To all 7HT mag users
Worzel he's not playing with the reel but releasing the brakes during the cast for Max distance, something we rarly do for fishing but common practice for field casting.
Danny would'nt have a problem casting a squid into a 25mph wind and still hit a distance the majority just dream about awesome casting.
Ceramic bearing are not going to make much difference for fishing but they make a difference on the field. Far better to regularly maintain your reel for reliability.
Saw a great cast by Andy C at westward last Sunday 313yds on 150gm awesome and this guy fishes to and catches loads at distance.

No doubt about that!
Thanks for the info on the bearings. Occassionally consider getting them but wasn't sure if they would offer any benefits for the beach.
