Wouldnt know where to sart....
I would like to get in to casting but the only thing is i wouldnt know where to start i.e what sort or rods ect. i use multipliers and have my reels at bottom of the butt(feels so much better).
i had my self booked in with crack off colin for a lesson on learning pendulium but had to cancel due to bad weather (and hasnt been nice since). just hope we get some good wether soon.
any advice would be great.
cheers

Re: Wouldnt know where to sart....
he'll probably take you right back to basics sam and then build up to the pendulum once you have mastered the 'off the ground'. thats what he did with me and i've never looked back mate. worth every penny and a top bloke too. after that bud its practice practice practice
as for field casting i've never had a go at it but maybe show up at dorchester one day just to see what all the fuss is about

Re: Wouldnt know where to sart....
just turn up pay money and cast . unless your in the big league i would just use normal fishing gear ,making sure you have coloured line and leader .dont know what size leader is required now but sure someone will let you know

Re: Wouldnt know where to sart....
60lb straight through. no tapered leaders allowed for safety reasons.
if you are using 150gm lead then its 0.31mm dia line.
if you are using 175gm lead then its 0.35mm dia line.

Re: Wouldnt know where to sart....
do you take lots of reels with different diameter lines with you rich or change the lines in-situ if you want to cast different weights ??? also is there a particular colour line you need or will any bright colour do the trick ???
