I fished a pond once but never again, gawd it was so boring! you cant beat an ancient wild river or an old canal, I have had some big pike out of canals and some big bream out of rivers, carp are just too dammed picky, boilies my ass.

Lovely bag of tench that. Fished a match at Clattercote reservoir today: level was down 6ft, snapped the tip of my pellet waggler rod getting it out of the sleeve, never had a bite, left early. Apart from that, a good day.

Trotting a stick or avon float down through a long glide with my trusty old centre pins for Chub, Roach, Dace and Barbel.

Favourite species? Barbel and big Perch.

My favourite species has to be the PIKE as the fishing methods for it seem to be the most similar to sea fishing and I also love lure fishing with my baitcaster.

I also really want to catch a big barbel and a big chub. Smile

There are some large shoals of Chub to 7lb plus currently mooching around the lower sections of the Muscliffe free stretch and the upper reaches of Throop Beat One. Some good Barbel spotted here during last week as well.

Grab some slugs and go for it!!!
