Mullate,See what I did there😆
Despite everyone telling me they taste like fish and sludge the thick lip I caught at Seaton came home and was quickly scaled and filleted.
It gave two lovely looking slabs of meat so wifey covered one in chopped bay, rosemary ,sage and sea salt baked with butter and lemons, served with morroccan cuscous and salad twas darn tasty.
Other side is going to get a baked toms and peppers affair YUM!

Mullet from the open sea is one of my favourite fish to eat. Meaty and firm with a real flavour. We tried it first at a fish restaurant and they cooked (baked) the fillets with mozzarella and parma ham....
Not having any mozzarella or parma ham in the fridge when I tried to replicate the recipe I used cheddar and salami and it was fantastic and a real treat!
