had a quick go on blagdon lake yesterday after work, with another ranger. had a venture around top end area and managed 4 fish. the best being this 5lb fish. it took a olive buzzer after covering its rise. went like a streamtrain, jumping and taking me onto the backing within seconds. best trout ive had out of the lake in ages. shame the picture isnt abit better, was fin perfect with a fully forked tail. the fish was released after a quick photo...

Looks to be a nice stretch of water holding some good fishing.

Thats a big old trout there. Must of been fun trying to keep your balance on the boat when that took off.
